The challenge: Independent contractors difficult to fit in program.

Initially the contingent labor program management office was self-run. After a merger, it was determined that an external MSP partner was necessary to find additional value. KellyOCG® was selected based on our ability to transform the model into a world-class program, utilizing insight to formulate decision making and expand capabilities to total talent management.

Right of way suppliers had not been included in the self-managed program, given the difficulty of supplier adoption and complex engagement models. But there was a recognized need to include them in the new program to increase compliance, drive cost savings, and mitigate risk.

The solution: Research, stakeholder engagement leads to adoption.

  • Conducted supplier optimization workstreams resulting in exclusive suppliers for right of way.
  • Continued utilization of SAP FG Contingent Labor module for these engagements.
  • Uncovered 95% of resources are pre-identified, with 5% being sourced through supplier's bench talent. Continued engagement to drive value and cost savings in a competitive marketplace.
  • Executive stakeholder engagement, combined with a mandate, supported adoption with close to 100% participation.
  • Converted from day rates to hourly across entire supply base and changed expense management to set standard and controls.
